[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11891, June 29, 2022 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING IN THE CITY OF ILOILO, PROVINCE OF ILOILO, A CITY HOSPITAL TO BE KNOWN AS THE ILOILO CITY HOSPITAL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. There shall be established in the City of Iloilo, Province of Iloilo, a tertiary general hospital to be known as the Iloilo City Hospital (ICH), which shall be under the direct control and supervision of the City Government of Iloilo.

Section 2. The City Government of Iloilo shall manage the ICH, and prepare, in consultation with the Department of Health, a hospital development plan aligned with the Philippine Health Facility Development Plan. Any future increase in bed capacity, health care facilities, service capability, and human resource complement shall be based on the hospital development plan.

Section 3. The amount of Five hundred million pesos (P500,000,000.00) is herby appropriated for the capital outlay of the ICH, which shall be included in the budget of the Department of Health under the 2023 General Appropriations Act. The City Government of Iloilo shall provide the funding for the operation and maintenance of the ICH.

Section 4. If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 5. ll laws, executive orders, issuances, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.

Section 6. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was passed by the House of Representatives on December 13, 2021, as amended by the Senate of the Philippines on May 30, 2022, and which amendment was concurred in by the House of Representatives on June 1, 2022.
