[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11880, June 29, 2022 ]

AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF THE EASTERN PANGASINAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYUG, PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN FROM ONE HUNDRED FIFTY (150) TO TWO HUNDRED FIFTY (250) AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The authorized bed capacity of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital in the Municipality of Tayug, Province of Pangasinan is hereby increased from one hundred fifty (150) to two hundred fifty (250) beds. Any future increase in bed capacity shall be consistent with the hospital development plan that shall be prepared by Chief of Hospital of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital and submitted to the Department of Health (DOH).

Section 2. The existing professional health care services and facilities of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital shall also be upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the bed capacity increase as provided for Section 1 hereof.

Section 3. The existing workforce of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital, which includes doctors, nurses and support personnel, shall also be increased correspondingly.

Section 4. The Provincial Government of Pangasinan shall provide the necessary funds to cover the maintenance and other operating expenses of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital. It shall also appropriate funds for the additional human resource complement to support the increase in bed capacity and the corresponding upgrading of its service facilities and professional health care services.

Section 5. The Secretary of the DOH shall immediately include in the DOH’s subsidy program, support for the capital outlay requirements of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 6. If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.

Section 7. All laws, executive orders, issuances, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Act are hereby modified accordingly.

Section 8. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
