REPUBLIC ACT No. 1925

An Act to Convert the Barotac Nuevo High School in the Province of Iloilo into a National School of Fisheries to be Known as Central Iloilo National School of Fisheries, Appropriating the Amount of Three Hundred Thousand Pesos for the Purpose

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. The Barotac Nuevo High School situated in the Municipality of Barotac Nuevo, Province of Iloilo, is hereby converted into a National Fishery School to be known as "Central Iloilo National School of Fisheries", with a Principal as administrative officer under the direct superintendence of the Superintendent of the nearest regional agricultural school.1âшphi1

Section 2. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize the courses of instruction in the said school to gear fully the natural resources of the region served by the school to economic development of the country consistent with the secondary vocational instruction but with emphasis on fishery.

Section 3. The sum of three hundred thousand pesos is hereby appropriated for the conversion of said school, as provided for in this Act, and its operation and maintenance, purchase of site, adequate and suitable for fish culture, and necessary equipment and buildings. Thereafter, the necessary amount for the operation of said school shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Act.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
