BY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS‑
A PROCLAMATION.

Whereas the Philippine Commission, in session duly assembled, on the first day of October, nineteen hundred and seven, did pass Act Numbered Seventeen hundred and thirty-one, effective November sixth, nineteen hundred and seven, creating the new municipality of Albay, Province of Albay:

Now, therefore, I, James F. Smith, Governor-General of the Philippine Islands, in pursuance of section four of Act Numbered Fifteen hundred and eighty-two, do hereby call a special election to be held on Tuesday, January fourteenth, nineteen hundred and eight, in the new municipality of Albay for the purpose of electing new municipal officials for said municipality. The successful candidates at this election will take office immediately after they have been declared elected by the proper board of canvassers. The provincial board of the Province of Albay is hereby directed to take the necessary steps required by law.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Government of the Philippine Islands to be affixed.
