[ PROCLAMATION NO. 815, July 02, 2014 ]

DECLARING YEAR 2014 AS IGLESIA NI CRISTO CENTENNIAL YEAR

WHEREAS, on July 27, 2014, the Iglesia ni Cristo will celebrate its one hundred (100) years of existence;

WHEREAS, the Iglesia ni Cristo is the largest home-grown Christian church in the Philippines established by Brother Felix Y. Manalo;

WHEREAS, the Iglesia ni Cristo has made significant contributions in bringing spiritual maturity, spreading the love of Christ and nurturing the religious life of the nation since 1914;

WHEREAS, the Iglesia ni Cristo has spread its ministry in at least one hundred two (102) countries, hence its centennial celebration is a worldwide event;

WHEREAS, in order to enhance awareness of its contributions in national development, it is appropriate that the occasion be marked and commemorated by declaring 2014 as Iglesia ni Cristo Centennial Year.

WHEREAS, the House of Representatives issued Resolution No. 91 dated 13 May 2014, urging the Office of the President to declare 2014 as Iglesia ni Cristo Centennial Year;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare 2014 as Iglesia ni Cristo Centennial Year.

FURTHER, the Postmaster General is hereby directed to cause the design, printing and issuance of a special stamp for said purpose.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE, in the City of Manila, this 2nd day of July, in the year of our Lord, Two Thousand and Fourteen.
