DECLARING FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 2010 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PLARIDEL, BULACAN

WHEREAS, Friday, April 23, 2010, marks the commemoration of the Battle of Quingua which took place in 1899;

WHEREAS, the Battle of Quingua, wherein the Filipino forces were under the command of General Gregorio del Pilar, was one of the most significant victories of the Filipinos in the war; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, LEANDRO R. MENDOZA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Friday, April 23, 2010, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan.
