DECLARING FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SIQUIJOR, PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Siquijor became the capital of the Province Siquijor by virtue of Proclamation No. 1075 dated September 12, 1972;
WHEREAS, Friday, September 12, 2008, the Municipality of Siquijor, Province of Siquijor marks the celebration of its Capital Day;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Siquijor, Province of Siquijor, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Friday, September 12, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Siquijor, Province of Siquijor.
