DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 16 TO 20, 2002, AS “PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Production Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), a non-partisan, and non-stock organization was established to promote industrial development through better and more efficient management of the production systems;

WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding the 15th National Convention to be held at the Westin Philippine Plaza Hotel, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City on September 19 to 20, 2002, with the theme: “Shifting Gears - Production Moves In Challenging Times”;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production executives play in the development of the economy as well as in the manufacturing sector;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 16 to 20, 2002, as “Production Management Week” under the auspices of the Production Management Association of the Philippines.1aшphi1
