DECLARING TUESDAY, JUNE 11, 2002 AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN THE CITY OF SAGAY, PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8192 converting the Municipality of Sagay into a component city of the Province of Negros Occidental, was signed on June 11, 1996;
WHEREAS, Tuesday, June 11, 2002, marks the 6th Charter Day anniversary of the City of Sagay;
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the City of Sagay be given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their citys history with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare June 11, 2002, as a special non-working day in the City of Sagay, Province of Negros Occidental.
