DECLARING FRIDAY, APRIL 19, 2002, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF TARLAC
WHEREAS, Friday, April 19, 2002, marks the conversion of the Municipality of Tarlac into a City, which was signed into law by then President FIDEL V. RAMOS, and was ratified by the people of Tarlac thru a plebiscite;
WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people of the City of Tarlac be given full opportunity to celebrate the momentous event in the history of Tarlac, in a series of activities aimed at promoting the citys rich culture, products and resources;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Friday, April 19, 2002, as a special day in the City of Tarlac.
