[ Proclamation No. 50, May 28, 2001 ]

AUTHORIZING THE ALAY SA KAWAL (ASK) FOUNDATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, the Alay Sa Kawal (ASK) Foundation, Inc., is a non-stock, non-profit entity organized by civilians for the purpose of extending financial and material assistance to families of enlisted personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines killed in action or permanently incapacitated in combat;

WHEREAS, the foundation has proven to be an effective auxiliary to the Government in bringing about reconciliation and mutual respect between the civilians and the military by providing continuing financial and material assistance, educational, livelihood and moral boost to the soldiers and their families;

WHEREAS, the laudable objective of the Foundation deserves the support of every civic-spirited citizen and resident of the Philippines.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Alay Sa Kawal (ASK) Foundation, Inc., to conduct a national educational, membership and fund campaign for the period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
