DECLARING TUESDAY, MAY 15, 2001, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN KALOOKAN CITY, METRO MANILA

WHEREAS, pursuant to the powers vested in it by the Constitution, and the Omnibus Election Code (B.P. 881), the Commission on Elections has resolved to adopt a continuation of the elections in Kalookan City on May 15, 2001;

WHEREAS, Tuesday, May 15, 2001, should be declared a special day in Kalookan City for the continuation of elections thereof;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, May 15, 2001, as a special day in Kalookan City, Metro Manila.
