EXTENDING THE NATIONAL EDUCATION AND FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE PHILIPPINE TUBERCULOSIS SOCIETY, INC., UP TO DECEMBER 31, 2002

WHEREAS, the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. supports the governments efforts in controlling tuberculosis which remains one of the countrys major health problems;

WHEREAS, the activities of the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. enable both public and private sectors to work closely together in eventually eradicating tuberculosis;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. can elicit the involvement of the community through a nationwide Anti-TB Educational and Fund Campaign;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. was authorized under Proclamation No. 326 dated June 12, 2000 to conduct a national fund campaign for the period from June 12, 2000 to June 12, 2001;

WHEREAS, it has been found necessary to extend the campaign period of the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc., in order to maintain its humanitarian services to victims of tuberculosis;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend the national educational and fund campaign of the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. up to December 31, 2002.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
