DECLARING SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2000, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE CITY OF ORMOC

WHEREAS, the City of Ormoc dedicates November 5 of every year for the souls of our brothers and sisters who perished in the flashfloods caused by typhoon “Uring” in 1991;

WHEREAS, in commemoration of that disastrous event this year, a Holy Mass and tree planting activities will be held at several places in Ormoc to be participated in by all sectors of Ormoc society;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the City of Ormoc be given full opportunity to commemorate this event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Sunday, November 5, 2000, as a special day in the City of Ormoc.1aшphi1
