[ Proclamation No. 389, September 27, 2000 ]

AUTHORIZING THE AGRICULTURE AND FISHERY COUNCIL FOUNDATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, the Agriculture and Fishery Council Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. (AFCFPI) was established as a concrete response to the governments call for the private sector to take an active part in the fight against rural poverty;

WHEREAS, this foundation aims to see at the end of this year a number of model development projects from pilot barangays all over the country;

WHEREAS, the Agriculture and Fishery Council Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. needs the support of all civic-spirited citizens to enable the foundation to carry on with its laudable projects;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Agriculture and Fishery Council Foundation of the Philippines to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year, effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.1aшphi1
