DECLARING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2000, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE

WHEREAS, Monday, September 11, 2000, is the birth anniversary of the late Ferdinand Edralin Marcos, 10th President of the Republic of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, the people of the Municipality of Sarrat and the entire Ilocos Province deem it proper to honor their provincemate who became the highest political figure of the country from 1966 to 1986;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27 of Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Monday, September 11, 2000, as a special day in the province of Ilocos Norte, to accord its residents full opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies.

IN WITNESS WHEREFORE, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
