DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 11 TO 16, 2000, AS “PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Production Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), a non-partisan, and non-stock organization was established to promote industrial development through better and more efficient management of the production system;

WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding the 13th National Convention to be held at the Days Hotel Philippines, Tagaytay City on September 13 to 14, 2000, with the theme: “MOVING THE FILIPINO TOWARDS GLOBAL PRODUCTION COMPETITIVENESS”;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production executives play in the development of our economy as well as in the manufacturing sector;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 11 to 16, 2000, as “Production Management Week” under the auspices of the Production Management Association of the Philippines.1aшphi1
