[ Proclamation Order No. 355, August 14, 2000 ]

AUTHORIZING THE UNITED WAY PHILIPPINES, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 148 dated July 17, 1999, the United Way Philippines, Inc. (UWPI) was authorized to conduct a national fund campaign during the period from July 17, 1999 to July 16, 2000;

WHEREAS, UWPI needs additional time to raise more funds for its laudable objectives;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the United Way Philippines, Inc. to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.
