DECLARING A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCE OF COMPOSTELA VALLEY

I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare a state of calamity in the Province of Compostela Valley, which were affected by flashfloods due to continuous heavy rains since January 23, 2000.

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans, directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.
