DECLARING THE SIMBAHAN-TALAGAS RIVER WATERSHED FOREST RESERVE SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DINALUNGAN, PROVINCE OF AURORA, AS A PROTECTED AREA PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT 7586 (NIPAS ACT OF 1992) AND SHALL BE KNOWN AS SIMBAHAN-TALAGAS PROTECTED LANDSCAPE

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and pursuant to the powers vested upon me by law, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside and declare Simbahan-Talagas River Watershed Forest Reserve consisting of a parcel of land situated in the Municipality of Dinalungan, Province of Aurora, as Protected Area under the category of Protected Landscape, subject to private rights, and without prejudice to the right of the indigenous people as provided for in R.A. 8371, DENR Administrative Order No. 93-02 and other related rules and regulations, if any, as described in the DENR NIPAS Map No. RO4A-24:

Simbahan-Talagas River Watershed Forest Reserve is bounded on the North and East by a timberland (Project No. 12-J, Block A, established on May 31, 1962, LC 2523), on the South by Simbahan Bay, on the West by a timberland (Project No. 12-J, block A, established on May 21, 1962). Geographically, it is located at coordinates 121° 5000 longitude and 16° 0800 latitude, and described in L.C. Map 2523, Sheet No. 5, certified on May 31, 1962 Topographic Map No. 3368 I & II W. R. No. 96, beginning at a point marked “1” on the same, identical to cor. 420, Project No. 12-J Blake. A, T.L. Province of Aurora per L.C. 2523, or N 77° 00E, 540.00 m. from the junction of Sangay River and Umihiem creek;

The area shall be under the administrative jurisdiction of the DENR and shall be administered in accordance with the provisions of the NIPAS Act of 1992 and its implementing rules and regulations.
