DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 13 TO 19, 2000, AS NATIONAL HOUSING AND BUILDING INDUSTRY WEEK

WHEREAS, on March 15 to 19, 2000, at the World Trade Center, Metro Manila, the 5th Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition - WORLDBEX 2000 shall be held and be attended by construction trade professionals, architects, engineers, property owners, land developers and direct corporate users;

WHEREAS, the construction and infrastructure industry has to enhance and increase its productivity as demands for building and construction equipment are growing at an unprecedented pace;

WHEREAS, there is a need to integrate the construction industry as a vital component in national development.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from March 13 to 19, 2000, as NATIONAL HOUSING AND BUILDING INDUSTRY WEEK

I call upon all construction trade professionals, building administrators, land developers, engineers, architects, designers, government and private institutions, and associations to give the observance of the week their full support.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
