CREATING AND DESIGNATING CERTAIN LANDS OF THE PRIVATE DOMAIN SITUATED IN BARANGAYS TRAPICHE, BALOC-BALOC AND PAGASPAS, MUNICIPALITY OF TANAUAN, PROVINCE OF BATANGAS, AS A SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7916 AS AMENDED BY REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8748

Pursuant to the powers vested in me under Republic Act (RA) No. 7916, otherwise known as the Special Economic Zone of 1995, as amended by the RA 8748 and upon the recommendation of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, do hereby create and designate as a special economic zone, subject to the provisions of the RA 7916, as amended, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and Resolution No. 98-026 dated 29 January 1998, of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, an area located in the Barangays Trapiche, Baloc-Baloc and Pagaspas, Municipality of Tanauan, Province of Batangas, henceforth to be known as Philtown Industrial Estate, consisting of SIX HUNDRED SIXTY SIX THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TWO (666,302) SQUARE METERS, more or less, as defined by the following technical descriptions:
