DECLARING THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 1999 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS “NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION MONTH”

WHEREAS, on November 18 to 21, 1999, at the World Trade Center and Philippine Trade Training Center, the 9th Philippine Construction Machineries and Building Materials Exhibition and Technology Forum (PHILCONSTRUCT AND TECHNOLOGY FORUM ”99) will be held and be attended by construction trade professionals, architects, engineers, property owners, land developers, buyers, investors, and direct corporate users;

WHEREAS, the construction and infrastructure industry has to enhance and increase its productivity as demands for building and construction equipment are growing at an unprecedented pace;

WHEREAS, there is a need to integrate the construction industry as a vital component in national development in support of achieving the nations visions for the next millennium;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of November 1999 and every year thereafter as “National Construction Month” under the auspices of the Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. and other concerned government and private entities.1aшphi1

I call upon all construction trade professionals, building administrators, land developers, engineers, architects, designers, government and private institutions, and associations to give the observance of National Construction Month their full support.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
