DECLARING SATURDAY, DECEMBER 26, 1998, AS A SPECIAL DAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

WHEREAS, in consideration of the Filipino tradition of visiting relatives and spending time with ones family on Christmas Day, and to give an opportunity to our people to properly observe this day which falls on a Friday, the following day may be declared as a special day without detriment to public interest.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, December 26, 1998, as a special day throughout the country.
