DECLARING THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 1998 AS “NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION MONTH”

WHEREAS, on November 18-21, 1998, at the World Trade Center and Philippine Trade Training Center, the Philippine Mega Infrastructure Show will be held and be attended by construction trade professionals, architects, engineers, property owners, land developers, and direct corporate users;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Mega Infrastructure Show will be anchored by the 8th Philippine International Construction and Building Materials Exhibition;

WHEREAS, the construction and infrastructure industry has to enhance and increase its productivity as demands for building and construction equipment are growing at an unprecedented pace; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to integrate the construction industry as a vital component in national development in support of achieving the nations visions for the next millennium.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of November 1998 as “National Construction Month” under the auspices of the Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. and other concerned government and private entities.

I call upon all construction trade professionals, building administrators, land developers, engineers, architects, designers, government and private institutions, and associations to give the observance of National Construction Month their full support.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
