DECLARING THURSDAY, JULY 23, 1998 AS MABINI DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS

WHEREAS, Thursday, July 23, 1998, marks the 134th birth anniversary of Apolinario Mabini, a national hero revered as “the Sublime Paralytic” and “Brains of the Revolution”;

WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people of the Province of Batangas be given the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, July 23, 1998, as Mabini Day in the Province of Batangas. The day, however, shall be a regular working day, but a no-class day in said province.1aшphi1
