[ Proclamation No. 27, October 8, 1998 ]

AUTHORIZING THE TEODORO F. VALENCIA FOUNDATION, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, the Teodoro F. Valencia Foundation Inc., a non-stock, non-profit entity, aims to promote educational, charitable, scientific, character building, youth and sports development, health, social welfare and/or cultural activities, purposes or projects;

WHEREAS, for the past years, the Foundation has undertaken not only charitable works, but also projects intended to promote excellence and integrity in Philippine journalism and has conducted as well art workshops for gifted out-of-school youths;

WHEREAS, the Foundation was authorized under Proclamation No. 695, dated December 18, 1995, to conduct a national fund campaign until December 18, 1996;

WHEREAS, the Foundation needs additional time to generate more funds for its laudable objectives.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH E. ESTRADA, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Teodoro F. Valencia Foundation, Inc. to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year, effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
