[ Proclamation No. 20, September 23, 1998 ]

AUTHORIZING THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 970, series of 1997, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) was authorized to conduct a national fund campaign during the period from February 13, 1997 to February 13, 1998;

WHEREAS, the noble and laudable purposes of the BSP deserves the full support of every Filipino and resident in the country; and

WHEREAS, BSP needs additional time to enable it to raise more funds to attain its laudable goal;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Boy Scouts of the Philippines to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this proclamation.1aшphi1

I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, regardless of race or creed, to actively support and give generously of their time and resources to the cause of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
