DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 14 TO 20, 1998, AS “PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Production Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP) a non-partisan, and non-stock organization established and committed to promote industrial development through better and more efficient management of the production system;

WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding the 11th National Convention on September 16 to 17, 1998, in Makati City, with the theme: “PRODUCTIVITY BREAKTHROUGHS IN SPEARHEADING THE ECONOMIC REBOUND”;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production executives play in the development of our economy;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 14 to 20, 1998, as “Production Management Week”.
