DECLARING WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24, 1998, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE CITY OF MANILA

WHEREAS, every year the City of Manila celebrates June 24 as “Araw ng Maynila” in commemoration of the founding of the City as the premier Christian City of Asia;

WHEREAS, the residents of Manila, conscious of the historical and cultural significance of the event, desire to celebrate the same with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday, June 24, 1998, as a special day in the City of Manila.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
