DECLARING TUESDAY, JUNE 9, 1998 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND IN THE CITIES OF LIPA AND BATANGAS

WHEREAS, Tuesday, June 9, 1998 marks the centennial birth anniversary of Governor Feliciano “Sanoy” Leviste of Batangas;

WHEREAS, as Governor of the Province, he exhibited uncommon love for the masses while putting his own distinctive mark on the art of governance;

WHEREAS, Governor Sanoy Leviste epitomizes the best that is the Batangueños leadership;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the residents of Batangas should be given full opportunity to celebrate his centennial birth anniversary with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, June 9, 1998 as a special day in the Province of Batangas and in the Cities of Lipa and Batangas.
