DECLARING SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 1997, AS A SPECIAL DAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

WHEREAS, March 29, 1997, falls on Saturday, between Good Friday and Easter Sunday;

WHEREAS, the said day, March 29, 1997, may be declared a special day without detriment to public service to allow our people uninterrupted opportunity to observe and ponder on the significance of the lenten season;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, March 29, 1997, a special day throughout the country.
