DECLARING FRIDAY, MARCH 7, 1997, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BASILAN

WHEREAS, Friday, March 7, 1997, marks the 23rd Founding Anniversary of the Province of Basilan;

WHEREAS, it is fitting that the residents of the Province of Basilan be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the power vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Friday, March 7, 1997, as a special day in the Province of Basilan.
