DECLARING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 1997 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BACOOR, PROVINCE OF CAVITE

WHEREAS, Monday, February 17, 1997, marks the Centennial Celebration of the Battle of Zapote Bridge, Bacoor, Cavite;

WHEREAS, the “Battle of Zapote Bridge” was one such battle where the revolucionarios gallantly defended the Zapote Bridge (gateway to Cavite Province) against the Spanish forces;

WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people of the Municipality of Bacoor, Province of Cavite, be given the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Monday, February 17, 1997 as a special day in the Municipality of Bacoor, Province of Cavite.1aшphi1
