MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 1136, November 21, 1997 ] AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 702, SERIES OF 1991 WHICH RESERVED A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED IN ILOILO CITY FOR SLUM IMPROVEMENT SETTLEMENT (SIR) SITE PURPOSES, BY INCLUDING IN THE AREA COVERED THEREIN, A PORTION OF LOT 3810 LOCATED IN BARANGAY MANSAYA, LA PAZ, ILOILO WHEREAS, by virtue of Proclamation No. 702 dated March 10, 1991, which amended Presidential Proclamation No. 251, series of 1951, Bo. Obrero was reserved for Slum Improvement and Resettlement (SIR) Program under the administration, development and disposition of the National Housing Authority; WHEREAS, the National Housing Authority, upon the petition of the residents of Barangay Mansaya, Iloilo City, requested the inclusion of a portion of Lot 3810, Iloilo Cadastre, covering an area of 8,507 Square Meters, more or less, in the Slum Improvement and Resettlement (SIR) Program; WHEREAS, the National Housing Authority has included the above-stated portion of Lot 3810, Iloilo Cadastre in the development plan for the B. Obrero Upgrading Project; WHEREAS, the said portion of Lot 3810, Iloilo Cadastre is adjacent to the area covered by Proclamation No. 702 and its inclusion to the SIR program of the Barrio Obrero will result in a more integrated and comprehensive upgrading and development of the area and its environs. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 702, Series of 1991, which reserved a certain parcel of land located in Iloilo City for Slum Improvement Settlement (SIR) Site purposes, by including in the area covered therein, a portion of Lot 3810, Iloilo Cadastre, registered in the name of the Republic of the Philippines under Original Certificate of Title No. 0-61846, A-217 located in Barangay Mansaya, La Paz, Iloilo containing an area of 8,507 Square Meters, subject to private rights, if any there be, and subject further to the actual segregation survey.1aшphi1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the SEAL of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
