DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 22 TO 27, 1997, AS “HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) will hold its 33rd National Conference on September 24 to 26, 1997, at Olongapo City, with the theme, “Gearing up for the New Millennium: Bringing HR up to Speed!”;

WHEREAS, the conference will focus on Human Resource Managements critical role in leading organizations to develop appropriate strategies to manage change and remain competitive;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the significance of Human Resource Management, Training & Development and Labor Harmony in attaining the highest potentials of Filipinos - as people manager, as workers, as empowered citizens of a new century of economic growth and social progress.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 22 to 27, 1997, as “Human Resource Management Week” under the auspices of the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
