[ Proclamation No. 1035, June 27, 1997 ]

AUTHORIZING THE R.I. DISTRICT 3780 ROTARY CENTER FOUNDATION, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, the R.I. District 3780 Rotary Center Foundation, Inc., was authorized under Proclamation No. 693, dated November 13, 1995 to conduct a national fund campaign from November 13, 1995 to November 14, 1996, which due to lack of material time, was not fully utilized for its fund campaign;

WHEREAS, the R.I. District 3780 Rotary Center Foundation, Inc., is a non-governmental and socio-civic organization which seeks to promote the Rotarian ideals of community service and high ethical standards in the practice of ones profession and business;

WHEREAS, the R.I. District 3780 Rotary Center Foundation, Inc., has directed its efforts to the construction of a Rotary Center Building to assist Rotary Clubs throughout the country in the planning and delivery of their various community services;

WHEREAS, the said building which shall serve as headquarters and meeting place for the District and various clubs and as venue for Rotary sponsored livelihood training programs, cooperative seminars and free medical/dental clinics for indigents is still unfinished to date;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the R.I. District 3780 Rotary Center Foundation, Inc. to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this proclamation.1aшphi1
