DECLARING SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 1996 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN RAFAEL, PROVINCE OF BULACAN

WHEREAS, Saturday, November 30, 1996, marks the Centenary of the Battle of San Rafael, Bulacan;

WHEREAS, the “Battle of San Rafael” was one such battle where the revolucionarios made a gallant stand against the Spanish forces that inspired the Bulakeños to join the revolution for the cause of freedom;

WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people of the Municipality of San Rafael, Province of Bulacan, be given the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Saturday, November 30, 1996 as a special day in the Municipality of San Rafael, Province of Bulacan.
