DECLARING SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 1996, AS A SPECIAL DAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

WHEREAS, paying homage to the dead on All Saints Day, celebrated on the first day of November of every year, is one of our most cherished traditions

WHEREAS, to give full opportunity to our people to properly observe the day with all its religious fervor, which invariably requires them to travel to different regions of the country, Saturday, November 2, 1996, which falls between All Saints Day and a Sunday may be declared as a special day without detriment to public interest.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, November 2, 1996, as a special day throughout the country.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
