MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 887, September 24, 1996 ] DECLARING NOVEMBER 4-10, 1996 AS INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES AND ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT WEEK WHEREAS, the 23rd International Human Resource and Organization Development Convention is scheduled to be held in Manila on November 6-9, 1996, under the auspices of the Asian Regional Training and Development Organization (ARTDO) and the Philippine Society for Training & Development (PSTD); WHEREAS, this convention on human resource and organization development will bring into the country training directors, personnel managers, organization development specialists and others involved in human resources training and development and organization development; WHEREAS, this conference will not only contribute to the enrichment of existing knowledge on human resources and organization development in general but will also provide opportunities for Filipino practitioners in human resource and organization development to interact with experts from the Asia-Pacific and the rest of the world; WHEREAS, with an impressive line-up of Filipino resource persons and facilitators, this convention will showcase the best of Filipino minds and human resource and development products, services and practices and, thus, contribute to the countrys effort to promote the Philippines as the human resources capital of the world and project our country as the focal point of human resource training and development in Asia-Pacific; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare November 4-10, 1996 as International Human Resource and Organization Development Week under the auspices of the Asian Regional Training and Development Organization and the Philippine Society for Training & Development.1aшphi1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
