DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 23 TO 29, 1996, AS “PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Production Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP) is a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-stock organization established and committed to promote industrial development through better and efficient management of the production system;

WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding the 9th National Convention on September 26 to 28, 1996, at Baguio Country Club, Baguio City, with the theme: “STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS TOWARDS GLOBALIZATION”;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production executive play in the development of our economy;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 23 to 29, 1996, as “Production Management Week”.
