RESERVING FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES IN MINDANAO CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN LOCATED AT THE BUREAU OF PLANT INDUSTRY RESERVATION IN BAGO OSHIRO, PLANTATION UNIT LAND TITLE NO. TCT-1910-(061) IN THE CITY OF DAVAO
WHEREAS, on 20 February 1995, the Congress of the Philippines passed in legislation Republic Act. No. 7889 entitled “An Act Establishing the University of the Philippines in Mindanao, Appropriating Funds Therefor, and for Other Purposes”;
WHEREAS, Section 1 of RA 7889 specifically mandates that the site of the U.P. Mindanao campus shall be in Davao City particularly at the Bago Oshiro Reservation of the Bureau of Plant Industry;
WHEREAS, the same Section 1 directs that an area not exceeding four hundred (400) hectares in the aforementioned location shall be set aside by proclamation of the President of the Philippines;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare as follows:
1 The following area in the Bago Oshiro Reservation at Davao City measuring approximately Two Million Forty Four Thousand Three Hundred Twelve (2,044,312) Square Meters, shall be segregated and set aside and be utilized exclusively for educational purposes and for such other activities related to research and training activities of the U.P. Mindanao campus:

2. All government agencies and offices authorized to issue the required documentation to carry out this Presidential Proclamation, are hereby directed to extend full cooperation and to ensure the proper implementation immediately after issuance hereof.
3. The Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources shall report on the status of implementation within ninety (90) days from the execution of this Presidential Proclamation.
