DECLARING JUNE 19, 1996 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LAGUNA AND IN SAN PABLO CITY

WHEREAS, on June 19, 1996, the entire nation will be commemorating the 135th birth anniversary of our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal;

WHEREAS, it is only fitting that the residents of San Pablo City and the Province of Laguna, which is the birthplace of our national hero, be given the opportunity to mark the 135th birth anniversary of its most illustrious son with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare June 19, 1996 as a Special Day in the Province of Laguna and in San Pablo City.
