CALLING THE CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES TO A SPECIAL SESSION

Pursuant to the powers vested in me by the Constitution, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby call the Congress of the Philippines to a Special Session on June 07 to 10, 1996 to consider and act upon the following vital legislative measures:

1. Irrigation Crisis Act;

2. Comprehensive Tax Reform Package;

3. Optimization of the Use of Overseas Development Assistance Funds;

4. Amendments to EVAT Law;

5. Protection of Intellectual Property Rights Laws;

6. Repeal of the Uniform Currency Act;

7. Penalty for Violations of the Wage Rationalization Act;

8. System of Continuing Registration of Voters;

9. Expansion of the Coverage of Anti-Counterfeit Drugs Law;

10. Grant of Paternity Leave;

11. Allocation of PAGCOR fund for Science & Technology Scholarship Program;

12. Automatic Release of the 5% Calamity Fund of LGUs, and

13. Senate Resolution of Concurrence in Connection with the Philippine Ratification of the Second Protocol to the General Agreement on Trade in Services.1aшphi1
