MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 763, March 19, 1996 ] ESTABLISHING AS ANAS WATERSHED FOREST RESERVE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROTECTING, MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING ITS WATER YIELD AND TO PROVIDE RESTRAINING MECHANISM FOR INAPPROPRIATE FOREST EXPLOITATION AND ILLEGAL LAND-USE PRACTICES, A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF NAVAL, ALMERIA AND CULABA, PROVINCE OF BILIRAN, PHILIPPINES Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, disposition or settlement and set aside as Anas Watershed Forest Reserve subject to private rights, if any there be, and to the operations of previous proclamations reserving any portion thereof for specific purposes, and to the implementation of other forestry development programs consistent with the objectives of the proclamation, a certain parcel of land of the public domain situated in the municipalities of Naval, Almeria, and Culaba, Province of Biliran, Philippines which is described in the map as follows, to wit: Beginning at point “1” on the map, is a point which is identical to corner 31, Alienable and Disposable, LC Map 1119, at latitude 11º 36' 29.18” north longitude 124º 27' 24.74” and being N 55º 26" E, 8,891.91 meters from BLLM No. 1, Naval Cadastre to corner 1; Thence S., 54º 00" W., 420 meters to corner 2, Tangile, 40 cms., identical to corner 30, A & D, LC Map No. 1119; Thence S., 78º 00" W., 440 meters to corner 3, Dao, 30 cms., identical to corner 29, A & D, LC Map No. 1119; Thence N., 12º 00" E., 400 meters to corner 4, White Lauan, 30 cms., identical to corner 28, A & D, LC Map No. 1119; Thence S., 89º 00" W., 440 meters to corner 5, Mis. The area covered by the reservation shall be under the administrative jurisdiction, supervision and control of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources thru its Forest Management Bureau in coordination with other agencies of the government with the objective of maintaining its usefulness as watershed forest reserve and a source of water for domestic and industrial purposes, considering environmental stability.1aшphi1 The management, development and protection of the area shall be supported by the created Watershed Management Council in the province of Biliran.
