[ Proclamation No. 727, February 2, 1996 ]

AUTHORIZING THE PANGMETROPOLITANG PEDERASYON NG MGA SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, the first elected Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Officials under Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the “Local Government Code of 1991”, have made their mark in the history of the youth sector and Philippine politics in general as young leaders of our country;

WHEREAS, this convention, “Sangguniang Kabataan: Onward to the 21st Century”, which will be a gathering of elected Sangguniang Kabataan officials from all regions of the country, serves as a venue wherein the said elected youth leaders will be able to make a united calling as to what the youth of tomorrow should be;

WHEREAS, the coming Sangguniang Kabataan National Convention needs to raise funds for the various activities of the delegates for the said convention. The funds to be collected shall then be used for the over-all conduct of the convention.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Sangguniang Kabataan to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
