DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 3 TO 9, 1995, AS GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WEEK

WHEREAS, efficient government administration depends greatly on the performance and dedication of government officials and employees;

WHEREAS, the National Council of the PGEA has scheduled a number of activities during its forthcoming 50th anniversary: 1) Symposium, 2) Awarding of plaques and certificates of merit outstanding government officials and employees for the year 1995, 3) Evaluation of past achievements and future plans and projects of the PGEA in the area of public service in particular and in the entire nation in general, and 4) Daily appropriate programs in different government offices;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper to focus public attention on the role played by state workers in the social, economic, and political development of the country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from December 3 to 9, 1995, as Government Employees Week under the auspices of the Philippine Government Employees Association and other government employees organizations.1aшphi1
