DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF CALAMITY IN FOUR (4) MUNICIPALITIES OF THE PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of National Defense as Chairman of the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) for the declaration of a state of calamity in four (4) Municipalities of the Province of Lanao del Sur, as follows:

Municipality Disaster Effects of Disaster
Malabang Fire Burned commercial center; 1,502 displaced persons
Marogong Fire 16 houses razed; 315 families affected
Saguiaran Flashflood Destruction of rice and corn fields of 14 barangays
Poona-Bayabao Flashflood Damage to irrigation dikes/dams

I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the existence of a state of calamity in the said areas.1aшphi1

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans, directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 12th day of October in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Five.
