ESTABLISHING AS AMBOGOC WATERSHED FOREST RESERVE FOR PURPOSES OF PROTECTING, MAINTAINING, AND IMPROVING ITS WATER YIELD AND TO PROVIDE RESTRAINING MECHANISM FOR INAPPROPRIATE FOREST EXPLOITATION, A PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED AT THE CITY OF DAPITAN, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE, PHILIPPINES

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, disposition, or settlement and set aside as Ambogoc Watershed Forest Reserve, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to the operations of previous proclamations reserving any portion thereof for specific purposes, and to the implementation of other forestry development programs, a certain parcel of land of the public domain located in the City of Dapitan, Province of Zamboanga del Norte more particularly described as follows:

Beginning from point “1”, on the map is a concrete monument located at the north bank of Ambogoc creek which is S 53ºW, 1,010 meters to corner 15 of Project 1-K, Block A, Forest Land, LC Map 3241;

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources, thru the Forest Management Bureau, shall administer and manage the reservation in coordination with the Local Water District and other government agencies with the objective of maintaining its usefulness as a watershed forest reserve and a source of water for domestic use and related purposes.1aшphi1

The management, development, and protection of the area shall be administered and implemented by a Watershed Management Council, which shall be created upon the approval of the Proclamation, to be composed of all concerned government agencies, Local Government Units, and Non-government organizations.
