DECLARING THURSDAY, MAY 25, 1995, THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF BOHOL, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BOHOL

WHEREAS, May 25, 1995, marks the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Bohol from enemy occupation during World War II;

WHEREAS, this historic day should properly and fittingly be observed to immortalize the strong spirit of liberation, which was paramount in the hearts and minds of the Filipino people, particularly the people of the province of Bohol during the short-lived enemy occupation;

WHEREAS, the Province of Bohol and its people should be given every opportunity to commemorate the 50th Liberation of Bohol with appropriate activities that would actualize the preservation of the principles of freedom, liberty, and nationalism as components of the totality of Filipino values.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, May 25, 1995, as a special day in the Province of Bohol.1aшphi1
